Tubed has no accounts, no sign-up and no advertising. You can play it without telling us anything about yourself, and we don't try to work out who you are.
This page explains the small amount of data the game does handle, in plain terms.
The game keeps a few things in your browser's local storage so it can work at all:
3f4c040d-a1e9-…) created the first time you playThat random ID isn't linked to your name, email or anything else. Its only jobs are to stop the same person submitting twice to one day's leaderboard, and to show you your own ranking.
None of this is used for advertising, and none of it follows you to other websites.
When you finish a puzzle, the game sends your result to a database so it can show where you placed among that day's players. Each entry records:
There's no name attached, and nothing you type. The leaderboard shows you your own position only — other players are never shown your result, and you are never shown theirs.
This is hosted on Supabase in their London (eu-west-2) region, so the data stays in the UK.
Entries are kept indefinitely so the game can offer long-term player statistics, such as how many optimal routes you've found over time.
We count page visits using GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics tool. It sets no cookies, creates no persistent identifier, and can't track you across other websites. It tells us how many people played today, nothing more.
If you use the feedback form, your message is sent to us through Web3Forms, along with which puzzle you were on. Your email address is included only if you choose to type one in, and is used solely to reply to you.
Tubed sets no cookies. The browser storage described above is what makes the game function — remembering your puzzle so it isn't lost on refresh — rather than anything used to track or profile you, which is why you aren't asked to accept a cookie banner.
Clearing your browser's site data for playtubed.co.uk removes everything stored on your device, including your random ID.
If you'd like your leaderboard entries deleted from the database, get in touch through the feedback form and include your random ID. You can find it by opening your browser's developer console on playtubed.co.uk and running:
localStorage.getItem('tubed_player_id')
We need that ID because it's the only thing connecting entries to you — without it there's genuinely no way for us to tell which rows are yours.
Tubed isn't aimed at children, but it's a simple puzzle game and anyone may play it. We ask for no personal details, show no advertising, and don't profile players, so there's nothing collected that would identify a young person.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions about any of the above can go through the feedback form on the game, or to feedback@playtubed.co.uk.
